Wwi Imperial German 9805 Na Butcher BayonetWwi imperial german 98/05 n/a combta butcher bayonet. Bayonet has nice thick patina and has never been cleaned, original as found. Bayonet has grooved walnut grips with flashguard and high muzzel-ring ears(see pic) double inspectore stamps on pommel side crown over an initial(see pic) bayonet has single edge swell tip steel blade with single deep blood groove with makers mark of hte firm of alexander coppel solingen on the ricasso. lBade back edge near cross guard has the crown with monarchs initial and 14 acceptance date over inspectors stamp. Crown over an initial. Blade in good condition, a dried oli film still on blade, runner marks, blade stright and true. Bayonet has leather scabbard and frog both in very good condition. Frog has number on back which cannot maek out. Original portepee/troddel of the 2nd battalion with a spot of blood(see pic) and in very good condition. Bayonet was designed to fit the 1898 german mauser carbines and rifles. Excellent original bayonet with a definite combat look to it and rare dated 1914.
