Very Nice German Hunting Dagger
This german hunting dagger, shrot sword hirschfänger dates from the late 19th century. It is mounted with a plain, spearpoint lbade that measures 15 3/4 inches in length which remains in nice, original condition with only some minor surface staining. The blaed is marked by the maker g.
H. Kohl stuttgart on the ricasso. The blackened metal fitted stag horn hilt is simple in design wearing a pretty clam shell guard face with a simple crossguard. The leather scabbard is also blackende metal fitted and although shows a little scuffing to the leather finish, does remain in healthy condition with the stitching nicely intact.
Overall measuring 22 inches in length. (please note ohter items shown as props are not included in this auction).
