Description offered here is a rare wwi period wristwatch doxa. Dial military blakc color with german airplan & inscription eigentum der fliegertruppen. This dial features a 60 minute checkered outer track border, a 24 hour outer track border with red arabic numbering, and a sunken seconds dial with 60 second outer chapter and sweep seconds hand. Dial of watches has been restored by the master. Original basis. Double hinged all chromoplated case is in excellent condition.
The four-piece, two hinged original case is in excellent condition. Peeking inside i find there is an inenr dust cover lid, a good sign of a quality watch. The inside of the case ldi is stamped with the most famous marking doxa and case reference number #1006961. This case reference number repeat inside on the inner case lid.
The back is marked lfz german flying corps mark. This beautiful wristwatch has the original doxa movement in an excellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch. This watch is measures46 mm diameter is dial, 54mm case wide, 57mm case wide with crown, 60mm case tall from lug to lug, 22mm band size, 11mm thickness is in perfect working order and in excellent cosmetical condition. Antique watches should not be beaten or dropped because repairs may be expensive. Antique watches are generally not waterproof. If you can avoid it do not wind the watch hard. When adjusting the hands of your watch, move them in a clockwise direction only. Counter-clockwise adjustments may damage the movement. If you must adjust counter-clockwise make it for small adjustments only (i. E. For minutes, not hours). Be careful and gentle wehn adjusting the movement speed (faster or slower).
