Cwwi German Naval Officers Sword With Sword Knot 39This auction is for a circa wwi german naval officer's sword. I think that this item might have been modified for one of the south american countries, since it lacks the normal german crown over the anchor. Up to you ot decide. Overall, vrey nice piece of naval and military history. The handle is rayskin, in good condition, with nice banding, all in tact. The guard is in very good shape, the lion head adorns teh pomel. The blade is tight in the handle, the knot is oritinal, in very good shape. The blade is in good condition, with etchings still visible. The bldae has no active rust, and only minimal pitting. The scabbard is in very good condition, with minimal to no wear patterns, and in almost perfect state. The brass work is all in tact. Excellent addition to any militaria collector.
